Pacing was one of the hardest things I had to learn. This is especially true for women. We are so used to juggling family and work. Often what looses out is time for ourselves.
For some this results in a burn out and or physical problems. The body will send out hints for a while that it is time to slow down, yet it is hard to pick them up.
This is where pacing comes in. Pacing and learning to listen to the messages your body is giving you.
- Find out how your body feels when it is not stressed
- Leave time in your schedule for “me” time
- Have a personal toolkit with what helps you unwind when stressed
- Pace yourself, don’t schedule too much on a given day or week
- Learn how to say no!
I am sure you can make your own list. When you do keep it in a handy place somewhere you can look at it easily as a reminder. It can inspire you to stick to your goals.
